24.90-meters tuna seiner

This tuna seiner is one of the largest ships built by Chantier Naval Croisicais. Le Ville d’Arzew II was built for a fishing company from La Ciotat, France, according to MAURIC plans, and to precise specifications. This unit is probably the first tuna seiner equipped with twin engines operated in the Mediterranean Sea.

With its size of only 24.90 meters, while the trend was more than 32 meters at that time, the ship meets perfectly the needs of its owners. It can navigate off during periods of tuna fishing in the Balearic Islands, it was also expected to work closer to the coast, fishing species such as sea bream.
